BERKSHIRE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
BCF raises funds for, and make grants to, local charities and community groups addressing identified need across Berkshire.BCFs use their local knowledge to connect supporters to the groups and communities they want to help, making sure their donations are effective and bring the greatest benefit to those most in need. Children in CrisisFounder and Life President: Children in Crisis was founded in 1993 by Sarah, Duchess of York, who remains the Life President. The charity was established in 1993 in the UK to give children in some of the world’s poorest countries the education they need to help transform their lives.Their vision: All children receive the learning needed for their flourishing and wellbeing. Their mission: Where resources are few, where education is needed to heal the nation, and where it is too remote for others, our aim is to support children to read, write, think, pursue their life goals and contribute positively to their communities.http://www.childrenincrisis.org/about-us
